A celebration of Rods life will take place at our home on Saturday July 31st and all are welcome to come and share their memories as we remember him "the Easton way".In lieu of flowers, it is Rods request that donations be given to the RCR Education Fund for Children of Fallen Soldiers, a charity close to his heart. Rod was eagerly awaiting the arrivalof Baby Boy Easton due one day before his 61st birthday in August and we know that Grandpa Easton will be the best Guardian Angel ever to have walked this earth. Rod held a special spot in his heart for our dear friends Rob Smith, Lisa Smith annapptheir children Jenna, Dawson and Warren. Reunited with his brother, Ron and uncle Dennis, who we know are "raising hell in heaven" under the watchful eye of his beloved Nanny Easton. Forever in the hearts of his Aunt Cathy, Cousins Denise Easton-Yendt (Derek), Tern Reid (Doug) and Jennieĭomanico (Aurel) and their families, all of St. He is survived also by his daughter Cassie and her son, Ben, in New Brunswick, his doting in-laws Richard and Betty Knapp, Kingston Sherryl Baines (Tony Summerfelt), Maijane Letourneau (Alan) and their son Ryan all of Kingston and Larry Knapp (Brenda)and their children Jaclyn and Alex of Nova Scotia, his mother Jane Johannsan of California. Rod will forever be remembered and treasured by his eternally devoted wife, Donna Mae (Knapp), sons, Rodney and Jeff (Shawna) Easton of Kingston, step-sons Bobby and and Rick Nevin (Larissa), step-daughter Jessie Nevin (Craig) grandaughter Lacey Nevin. On July 17th 2010, two years to the day of his diagnosis, Rod passed peacefully into the stars. It is with heartbreaking sadness we announce Rods passing peacefully at home with his wife of 20 years at his side after a valiant 2 year battle with brain cancer, a battle which could not be won no matter how hard we fought.
